The Honda CBR250RR Repsol Edition - Made For Ardent Fans

On February 3 2017, Astra Honda Motor (AHM) launched the Honda CBR250RR Repsol Edition 2017 in Jakarta. This limited edition motorbike comes equipped with a liquid cooled 4-stroke DOHC 8-valve, parallel twin cylinder.

It has a displacement of 250cc and a fuel tank capacity of 14.5 litres. Furthermore, it is made better by the inclusion of Honda Genuine Accessories (HGA), which comprises of a hand guard, hugger carbon and single set cowl. These notable additions are also what sets this bike apart from the regular edition.

Marketing Director of AHM, Margano Tanuwijaya, mentioned that the CBR 250RR Honda model has become a trendsetter of premium sport bikes in Indonesia and the world. He added by showing his appreciation to avid Indonesian fans, and dedicated this limited edition motorbike to them. There are only 1000 units produced during its initial launch, but Honda will consider producing more bikes if demand is high and response is positive.

The inaugural launch was also graced by MotoGP racers Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez. They enjoyed riding the bike, with Dani mentioning that the bike is powerful, yet smooth. The bike is relatively lightweight - a standard bike weighs 165kg, while one with ABS installed comes in slightly heavier at 168kg. Hence, it is able to reach a maximum power of 28.5kW/12,500rpm and a maximum torque of 23Nm/11,000rpm. According to AHM, this bike is able to travel 200 meters in a duration of 8.65 seconds.

Top speeds? The Honda CBR250RR Repsol Edition clocked in speeds of up to 170km/h.

At launch, the Honda CBR250RR Repsol Edition is priced at Rp. 72,000,000 (~SGD 7215). It is available in Indonesian market, but an application has been submitted for it to be sold in the Malaysian market.
