Motorcycle Number Plate In Singapore

In the past the number plates were vastly different, As Singapore was part of the Strait settlement in early 1900s, the very first plate numbers for motorcycles started with the SA series.

The "S" to represent Singapore, "A" for motorcycle.

which were then changed to the "A" series Motorcycle number plate. "AA - AZ"

This lasted until the mid-1980s, which back then called State of Singapore Registry of Vehicles, now "LTA(Land Transport Authority)" then changed to the F series(FA to FZ) due to conflicts with Malaysia State, Perak’s number plates.

The F series lasted about 20 years until late 2005 when LTA changed it to the current FB series(currently FBL-FBM).

Well, if you are a vintage number plate or want to buy motorcycle number plate, there are still quite a few old plate around for sale.

As for the "SA" series, those are the value ones that all the vintage collectors are aiming to lay their hands on.

And these value ones are usually with a hefty price tag.
