Daredevil Italian Rides Bike across Water

Posted On : 21-04-2018

Luca Colombo from Milan has set a world record for the longest ride on freshwater.

Pictured above is the scenic Lake Como. Now imagine a Suzuki RMZ 450 being steered across the water. Impossible as it may seem, the Italian man has managed to pull off this amazing feat last year.

Of course, Colombo’s bike had to be specially modified as well. Adapted by Vercar Moto, the motorbike was equipped with nautical skates and special rubber blades to give the vehicle buoyancy. The man himself was armed only with an inflatable bracelet capable of expanding into a life-jacket.

With a terrifying speed of 75 km/h, Colombo rode his motorcycle across the lake and set the world record for the longest ride on freshwater with the timing of just slightly above 5 minutes.

He had initially wanted to attempt this hair-raising act in June last year but was unable to do so due to unfavorable weather conditions. Regardless, Colombo eventually accomplished this amazing feat, firing his motorcycle through the finish posts at the other end of the lake.

This incredible feat was recorded by several cameras, including drones.
